Yaniv Dinur, Conductor Page 1 Yaniv Dinur is the winner of numerous international conducting competitions. In September 2009, he won a special Second Prize - an award the jury created especially for him - in the International Eduardo Mata Conducting Competition in Mexico City. In 2005, he won the Yuri Ahronovitch First Prize in the inaugural Aviv Conducting Competition that was held in Tel Aviv. He is also a grant recipient of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation and The Zubin Mehta Scholarship Endowment.Yaniv Dinur started his conducting career at the age of 19 when he was invited to conduct the Israel Camerata Orchestra in Jerusalem, making him the youngest conductor ever invited to conduct an orchestra in Israel. Since then, he has conducted orchestras in Ireland, Portugal, Italy, Russia, Poland, the United States, Mexico and Canada. Yaniv Dinur has worked closely with such world-class conductors as Lorin Maazel, Michael Tilson Thomas, Pinchas Zukerman, Kurt Masur, Kenneth Kiesler, Jorma Panula and Gerhard Markson. Born in Jerusalem in 1981, Yaniv Dinur began studying the piano at the age of 6 with his aunt, Olga Shachar and later with Prof. Alexander Tamir, Tatiana Alexanderov and Mark Dukelsky. At the age of 16, he began to study conducting with Dr. Evgeny Zirlin. While still in high school, Dinur began his formal studies with Dr. Zirlin at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. After graduating from the Jerusalem Academy, he studied privately with conductor Mendi Rodan.Yaniv Dinur holds a Doctorate in Orchestral Conducting from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre and Dance where he studied with Prof. Kenneth Kiesler.

Queste sono alcune delle opinioni di eminenti interpreti del nostro tempo che hanno formato la personalità musicale del giovane direttore israeliano Yaniv Dinur, vincitore della prima edizione del Concorso per giovani direttori Yuri Ahronovitch di Tel Aviv nel 2005. Questo importante riconoscimento gli ha permesso di ottenere il sostegno della Fondazione Israelo-Americana The Zubin Metha Scholarship Endowment Fund per un periodo di tre anni di studio negli USA nel dottorato in direzione dorchestra con il professore Kenneth Kiesler. Yaniv Dinur ha iniziato lattività di direttore dorchestra alletà di 19 anni, su invito della Israel Camerata Orchestra di Gerusalemme: il più giovane direttore a salire sul podio di unorchestra dello Stato dIsraele. Da allora lartista ha diretto la National Symphony Orchestra dIrlanda, lOrchestra Sinfonica del Portogallo, lOrchestra Giovanile Italiana, la New World Symphony Orchestra di Miami, lOrchestra del Festival di Sofia, lOrchestra Sinfonica di Stato di San Pietroburgo, la Sinfonietta di Cracovia, la NAC Orchestra di Ottawa, la Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra IBA, la Sinfonietta dIsraele e il Tel Aviv Solists Ensemble. In Italia, nel corso del 2008 il direttore ha diretto lOrchestra di Padova e del Veneto, la Filarmonica di Torino, I Pomeriggi Musicali, lOrchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese e I Solisti di Perugia al Festival delle Nazioni di Città di Castello. Nel corso del 2009 si è perfezionato con Lorin Mazel, ha diretto lEnsemble Orchestrale de Paris e ha ottenuto il secondo premio al concorso internazionale Eduardo Mata a Città del Messico, dopo una selezione fra 130 concorrenti ammessi. Già nel Giugno 2008 era stato scelto da Kurt Masur, su 100 candidati selezionati, per un periodo di lavoro e di approfondimento con l'Orchestra di Manhattan School of Music. Nato a Gerusalemme nel 1981, Yaniv Dinur ha ricevuto le prime lezioni di pianoforte dalla zia, Olga Shachar, alletà di 6 anni. Dopo ha studiato con il professore Alexander tamir, Tatiana Alexander e Mark Dukelski. Si è diplomato in pianoforte all'Accademia della Musica e della danza di Gerusalemme, ottenendo anche il diploma in direzione d'orchestra con Yevgeny Zirlin e Mendi Rodan, e il DMA (Doctor of Musical Arts) all'University of Michigan, School of Music Theatre and Dance, con Prof. Kenneth Kiesler.
